Job Title: Vice President of In-Contract Excellence
Working Pattern: Hybrid – 3 in office days a week
Working Location: Indianapolis, IN
An exciting opportunity as our Vice-President In Contract Excellence has arisen.
In this role you will be accountable for leading a team of Procurement professionals to ensure that Rolls-Royce executes our supplier contracts and long-term agreements to the highest standard – ensuring the expected value delivered from the contract is achieved and that both our operational and cost targets are achieved. In this role you will travel up to 20% domestically with possible 5% international travel.

What you will be doing:
- Lead a team of procurement professionals to deliver the expected cost and operational value from our supplier contracts
- Ensure defined sourcing activities are completed on time to support business needs
- Ensure opportunities to obtain cost down or other benefit from our supplier contracts are identified and executed
- Lead engagement with our engineering, manufacturing operations and other business teams to identify and facilitate new opportunities for cost reduction
- Ensure the timely and favorable resolution of supplier disputes, claims and contractual remedies
- Lead the strategic procurement activities to support the successful execution of transfers and major projects
- Lead the procurement accountabilities and performance metrics within the Rolls-Royce supplier engagement and performance framework, including supplier cost scorecards
- Ensure the timely closure of any commercial or cost issues which are or could affect operational activities or the ability to achieve financial targets
- Coordinate the team to support product change activities such as modifications or prototyping activities, ensuring the best commercial terms and supplier performance is achieved
- Ensure in-contract ESG requirements, including but not limited to sustainability, legislative requirements and ethical working policies are maintained by our contracted supply chain

Basic Requirements:
- Associate degree and 10+ years of procurement or commercial experience, OR
- Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years of procurement or commercial experience OR
- Master’s degree and 6+ years of procurement or commercial experience, OR
- JD/PhD and 3+ years of procurement or commercial experience, OR
- 12+ years of procurement or commercial experience in lieu of a degree
- In order to be eligible for consideration for this opportunity, you must be a U.S. Citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident
Preferred Requirements:
- Experience leading procurement activities in a complex supply chain and working with external parties to deliver value
- Prior experience managing contractual disputes and/or supplier claims reading and understanding long term agreements
- Previously worked across areas of the business to manage stakeholders and influence
